Shiksha Policies – Fall 2025

Dear Parents,
Thank you for choosing Shiksha for your child’s cultural and spiritual growth. Please take a moment to read and acknowledge the following policies before completing your registration and payment.

Attendance Policies

1. Open House Attendance
   We strongly encourage all families to attend the Shiksha Open House before classes begin. You’ll have an opportunity to meet the teachers, tour the classrooms and campus, and get a sense of our learning environment.
   Open House Date: August 17, 2025
2. Class Attendance

• Fall Semester classes will run every Sunday from August 24 through December 21, 2025, with breaks on two Sundays for Diwali and Thanksgiving.
• Class timings: 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM
• All three class components—Hindu Values, Hindi Language, and Indian Music—are required for all students.
• We ask parents to prioritize and plan Sunday mornings accordingly. Excessive absences without valid reasons are discouraged, as consistency is important for your child’s learning and group participation.

Registration & Payment Policies

• A receipt confirming your registration and payment will be emailed to you. Please save it for your records.
• Full payment is due at the time of registration for the Fall Semester.
• Spring Semester fees will be due in January 2026. If you choose to pay for the Full Year in advance, you will receive a $50 discount.
• We accept payments:
• Online via credit/debit card or PayPal
• In person at our office
• By mail, if needed
• If you would like to request a payment plan, please contact our Program Director before registering to discuss eligibility and approval.
• Please note: No refunds or credits will be issued for student absences.
• In case a regular teacher is unavailable, a qualified substitute teacher will lead the class.

🔔 Additional Reminders

• Behavior: Students are expected to be respectful and attentive.
• Communication: We will share updates with parents via email and WhatsApp. Please stay connected.
• Emergencies/Closures: Parents will be notified via WhatsApp/email in case of weather-related or emergency closures.
• Pick-up/Drop-off: Please be prompt for safety and courtesy to all families.
• Photos/Videos: We may take pictures for class highlights or promotional use. Let us know if you’d prefer your child not be photographed.
• Volunteer? We’d love your help for special events! Let us know if you’re interested. Sign up to volunteer on our website.
