When: Sundays, 1 pm-2pm
Class Structure:
We begin with stretching. To warm up and establish proper dance technique, we proceed to
essential kathak footwork and body movements. The rest of class will be spent on choreography, which will be rooted in elements of kathak and Indian folk dance, flourished with contemporary influences. Song choices will be dictated by the instructor, although student recommendations are always taken into consideration.
By the end of the semester, you will have a small repertoire of performance-ready pieces.
